Methodology

You coordinate the project. FAE handles the aerial component.

Before flying, we agree responsibilities for ground control, coordinates, processing, checks and handover. Formats, delivery date and acceptance criteria follow your project's requirements.

Operational workflow

Five stages, from requirements to data delivery

  1. 01

    Requirements

Boundary, area or corridor, purpose, deliverable, tolerances and deadline: together we establish what must be usable in the project.

  2. 02

    Configuration

We select the platform, sensor or photo–LiDAR combination, capture geometry and ground control. Feasibility is checked for the site.

  3. 03

    Data capture

We prepare the mission, integrate and check the sensor, then check field data before completing the campaign.

  4. 04

    Processing

We georeference, classify or model the data and prepare conversions for the agreed coordinate systems and formats.

  5. 05

    Delivery

We check the package, report the relevant parameters and provide access to the agreed data for use in the project.

A deadline agreed for the project

What a confirmed order means

For projects accepted on an urgent basis, we deliver the agreed data within 2 calendar days for LiDAR or 7 calendar days for photogrammetry, from order confirmation.

  • Time T is FAE's written confirmation of the complete order, after the area, deliverables, control requirements, commercial terms, access, operational feasibility and available window have been established. The confirmation specifies the delivery date and time.
  • The deadline includes mobilisation, flight, processing and verification of the entire agreed package. Saturdays and Sundays count towards the accepted deadline.
  • The automatic quote and form submission do not confirm the order, availability or urgency. State your preferred date in the existing enquiry message; the urgent-service surcharge is quoted individually.
  • For LiDAR + photogrammetry, we confirm the package and a shared deadline or separate deadlines. The entire mixed package is not automatically promised at T+2. Specialist sensors are assessed separately.
  • If conditions preventing execution arise later, we communicate them and agree on rescheduling, without unilaterally resetting time T. Urgent work is accepted individually, subject to availability.

Clear roles in subcontracting

Your firm contracts with the client, coordinates the work and sets its own offer. FAE handles the agreed aerial component: acquisition, processing and handover. Direct communication with the client follows your mandate. Technical control, survey validation and any responsibilities requiring professional authorisation are explicitly agreed for each project.

Quality control

The control plan is established before the mission.

Accuracy, density, control points and checks are defined for the use, terrain and product of each project. The technical proposal documents the agreed criteria before execution.

  • requirement and coordinate system confirmed
  • coverage and raw data verified
  • processing documented
  • deliverables checked before delivery

Operational experience built in the field

Three images, three decisions that protect the survey result.

FAE archive photographs and a real mission capture show what the service method means in practice: preparation before launch, supervision throughout the flight and planning adapted to difficult terrain.

FAE archive · Rebel Bimotor · field launch

Launch is the final stage, not the first.

Before the platform leaves the operator’s hands, its configuration, survey payload, centre of gravity, flight plan and field conditions are checked. For the client, this discipline means fewer preventable repeats and more reliable input data for processing.

FAE archive · Predator Octocopter · supervised flight

The flight is supervised continuously.

The operator monitors the platform, sensor and operating conditions as one system. Data is checked in the field so that acquisition remains traceable and any deviation can be identified before the team leaves the site.

FAE mission · approximately 20 km · terrain up to 2,500 m AMSL

We plan before the terrain makes the decisions.

This example documents a flight of approximately 20 km in maximum-difficulty mountain terrain and in areas reaching 2,500 m AMSL. Route, endurance, terrain, data link and operational reserves are assessed together; mission performance is not assumed, but verified for the specific site.

The photographs show platforms from the FAE archive as evidence of integration and operating experience; the drones are not products offered for sale. The capture is an operational example, not a universal distance or altitude guarantee: feasibility is validated separately for every project.
